Emily Bristow Counselling

About Me
Are you feeling stuck or noticing you're not handling things as smoothly as you used to? Is a past traumatic experience still affecting you and impacting your daily life? Do you need help understanding your addiction?
I'm Emily, and like you are doing now, I have also spent time scrolling through the internet searching for a therapist who looked like someone I could trust and be vulnerable with. I did find that therapist, and it was the start of a new and enlightened version of my life! Now it is my turn as the therapist, to do the same for you...

I support adults navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, PTSD, and addiction by creating a space where they feel seen, validated, and empowered - free from judgment or stigma.
As an experienced and compassionate Integrative counsellor, I specialise in offering a holistic approach to therapy, blending a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique needs of each client.
I provide a safe, supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, with your safety and well-being at the heart of our work together.

The Therapy
Using an integrative approach which draws on different methods of counselling to suit your individual needs, my down-to-earth personality will put you at ease and offers an equal partnership in your counselling experience. I have a keen focus on empowering my clients by providing a safe space to explore who you are, what your needs are and ultimately what you are capable of achieving. I firmly believe that in identifying the root causes of our current behaviours we can unlock the opportunity to change how we move forward in our lives. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy options. We'll talk through your needs during an initial consultation to help decide what feels right for you moving forward.
